Wendy Claborn – Fayetteville, NC
Young Living Star Leader
Hey Guys! My name is Wendy, I’m originally from Cali, lived in Oklahoma the majority of my life and now my little family and I live in Fayetteville, North Carolina. I wear many hats and go by many names. I’m Mom to two amazing kiddos, wife to the most supportive man and also my best friend, extreme couponer, thrift shopper, daughter, photographer, crafter and what I like to call myself, an oil slinger. I love cheesecake, cheesy reality shows, and thrifting pre-loved clothing as I like to call it and reselling on eBay because I love the idea that I helped to keep unnecessary trash out of the landfill. I am usually as low maintenance as they get and I’m happy in a pair of leggings and a tee with my hair pulled back and sunglasses on top of my head. I’m guessing if you’re here reading this then you must have an interest in essential oils. I would love to share my experience and how I got started.
Before this year I would have never thought I would be health conscious or using these magic oils as some call them. I grew up on McDonald’s Happy Meals, Kool-Aid, bubble plastic toys that say flammable keep away from flame and choking hazard, and my mom even made me swallow Vick’s Vapor Rub when I had a cough even though it said DO NOT INGEST. It’s a wonder I’m still alive but after neglecting my body for so many years without even knowing it, I am now trying to make up for lost time. After months and months of chronic tummy issues I had a friend introduce me to oils. Of course the frugal self in me was more than happy to buy the Premium Starter Kit without hesitation because when I was advised it was the best deal to get started with essential oils I was sold and there are no regrets whatsoever here. You not only get a diffuser, you get 11 bottles of oils and some bottles and samples. That’s at least a 50% discount. I ordered my PSK on the very last day of 2016 and received it after several unsuccessful trips to the GI doc with no answers. I was introduced to my all-time favorite oil Digize. I used it on my belly a few times a day and in no time I no longer had to eat soft or bland foods and I felt like I had regained my life again. It’s now to the point where I only need to use it when I make bad food choices and get belly burn. For me Digize was my gateway oil. I got pretty familiar with all of the kit oils really quick, all of which I love but I dug a little deeper in researching and now have a pretty big arsenal although it only takes 10-20 oils to be well equipped. I truly believe in these oils and have a passion for sharing them. In our clan we use them for sleep, anxiety and emotions, focus and clarity and of course immunity, digestive and hormone support.
We are even transitioning to an all-around healthier lifestyle just by slowly replacing all of the toxic products from our lives. We started with Thieves Laundry soap and Cleaner, hand soap, Thieves toothpaste (a total blessing), and wool dryer balls with essential oils. But that is just the tip of the iceberg. This switch and ditch is on. We are about to do a complete DIY overhaul by switching out our deodorants, lotions, body wash, you name it. Just know everything that goes on your body gets absorbed and if you don’t know if something is natural or cannot pronounce it, chances are it’s a chemical that is known to cause the big C or adverse skin reaction at best. Do me a favor and take a look at what your family uses and when you’re ready to walk with me through this oily journey give me a holler. I would love to be your new oily friend.
