Summer is upon us and one of the best parts of this season is the SUN, am I right?! This means beach days, pool time, camping and so many other fun outdoor activities! Soaking up that vitamin D is great for our bodies, but too much sun can be hard on our skin. We LOVE using essential oils to help promote healthy, glowing summer skin in our home! This homemade after-sun spray helps sun-kissed skin recover and is very soothing!
- 4 oz spray bottle
- 5-10 drops each of Lavender (calming, helps skin recover) and Peppermint (cooling and soothing. For little ones under two try gentle baby in place of peppermint)
- 2 oz of pure aloe vera
- 1 tsp of witch hazel
Add all the ingredients to the bottle, shake, spray on the skin as needed and gently rub in!
I find that when I use this spray twice a day after being in the sun I don’t peel much, if at all!
